Range-topping F Sport added to hybrid Lexus UX range

Having announced a switch to hybrid-only power back in July, Lexus has provided additional details of the updated UX line-up.

Though the exterior on the EX and SE trim level remains unchanged, an F Sport derivative has now been added as the range’s flagship offering.

Previously offered only on the now-axed 200 model, the F Sport sets itself apart from its sibling by not only featuring the F Sport bumpers and door sills, but also 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, a gloss black mesh pattern Spindle Grille, full-LED headlights, Jet Black exterior detailing and chrome fog light surrounds.

Like its now departed sibling, the 250h F Sport boasts, as standard, the Adaptive Variable Suspension and a Sport+ setting on the drive mode selector.

The interior receives an F Sport steering wheel, a bespoke instrument cluster said to be inspired by that of the LFA and red stitching on the gear lever, seats and instrument panel.

Unique to the F Sport on the specification front is the standard fitting of the Lexus Safety Sense system, comprising adaptive cruise control, Auto High Beam Assist, Pre-Crash with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist and Lane Keep Assist.

Up front, the combination of the normally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine and 107 kW electric motor remain unchanged. This means a total system output of 136 kW fed to the front wheels via a CVT.

Like the EX and SE, the F Sport will get from 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and top out at 177 km/h. Claimed combined fuel consumption is 4.5 L/100 km.

Pricing

Standard on all models is a seven year/105 000 km warranty and service plan.
