Join the #DatsunLove adventure to win big

Drivers around the world love their Datsuns. Now they have the opportunity to show just how important their cars are in their lives, and walk away with a share of R100 000 in prizes, including the chance to win a trip for two to Tokyo, Japan, and enjoy a rare treat – an outing to the Zama Heritage Garage.

A visit to the private Zama Heritage Garage is an honour that is not accorded everyone. Located on the grounds of Nissan’s Oppama Motor Plant, also known as the Nissan DNA Museum, it tracks the history of Datsun from the early 1900s. It also showcases an impressive collection of some of the most legendary cars ever to emerge from the Datsun factory.

To celebrate the sale of 200 000 Datsuns since the iconic brand made a global comeback in 2014 – conquering the markets of South Africa, India, Russia and Indonesia – Datsun fans have until October 27 to show, in glorious colour, just what their cars really mean to them.

“We are grateful to our customers who have chosen Datsun in South Africa, and indeed other parts of the world,” general manager of Datsun South Africa Des Fenner says.

“For many, this might have been their very first car, giving them access to new levels of personal mobility and freedom. First with the Datsun GO, and now via the Datsun GO+ multi-purpose vehicle for growing young families, and the GO+ Panel Van, great for small business owners looking to transport small-to-medium sized goods while keeping operating costs down.”

The advice to entrants – whether you own a Datsun GO, a special Datsun SSS, or other Datsun model that has been a meaningful part of your life – is to go digital. You will need to:

  • Snap a photo of yourself with the Datsun you own and love
  • Visit datsun.co.za/datsunlove
  • Upload your photo
  • Select one of three templates to create a unique poster
  • Personalise your message of love
  • Select your preferred social network service to share your poster
  • To be eligible to win, remember to use the hashtag #DatsunLove and tag Datsun when sharing your poster as per the following handles: facebook.co.za/datsunsa, twitter.com/Datsun_SA, @Datsun_SA, instagram.com/datsun_ sa, Datsun South Africa.

“We are proud of our growth and the achievement of selling 200 000 units in a few short years,” Fenner says.

“We look forward to seeing innovative entries and to welcoming our local winner, along with his or her guest, to Tokyo.”
