With the all-new D-Max set for unveiling next year, Isuzu has added a special edition model to the now venerable sixth generation model that debuted as the KB almost a decade ago.
Based on the ever popular X-Rider designation, the simply titled X-Rider Limited Edition, receives a black sports bar with red X Limited badging, black roof rails, a roller shutter and X Limited branding on the carpets in addition to the standard issue X-Rider trim pieces.
Riding on the familiar X-Rider black 18-inch alloy wheels, the special touches conclude with an X Limited number’s plaque located within the engine bay. Standard specification is unchanged from the standard X-Rider however.

As with the current X-Rider, the Limited Edition, whose production run will be restricted to 210 units, offers a choice of two turbodiesel engines; the 100kW/320Nm 2.5 D-TEQ and the flagship 3.0 D-TEQ that produces 130kW/380Nm.
Like the standard X-Rider, the former engine can be paired to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic, while the latter is teamed as standard to a six-speed automatic.
Although four-wheel-drive comes as an option on the conventional 2.5 X-Rider, the Limited Edition, like the standard 3.0 X-Rider, is rear-wheel-drive only with Isuzu claiming respective fuel consumption figures of 7.7 L/100 km and 7.5 L/100 km.
Now available, all three models, like the standard D-Max, feature as standard a five year/120 000 km warranty as well as a five year/90 000 km service plan.
