Earlier this month, the updated Isuzu D-Max bakkie was showcased in Thailand, sparking debate on when it would make its way to South Africa.
In The Citizen Motoring’s Pitstop podcast, Jaco van der Merwe and Charl Bosch try to determine when will Mzansi get the updated version of one of its favourite bakkies.
It might seem somewhat strange that there is already a facelift version of the seventh generation Isuzu D-Max that only debuted in South Africa last year. But in reality the bakkie was already three years when it found its way to Mzansi. It was already rolled out back in 2019, with Covid-19 delaying its local arrival.
Isuzu has not confirmed a date for its arrival – chances are South Africans will get it in 2024. Pricing and specifications are expected to be announced in due course.
