Honda Elite keeps costs in check

Rising fuel prices and an awareness of environmental issues have had an impact on the way we think about transport.

However, the true appeal of a scooter is not just its low running costs and ability to cut through the city rush hour, It is also about fun, freedom and the independence that only two-wheel transport can give.

Priced at R12 990 the new 125cc Honda Elite can fulfil this dream on even a pretty tight budget and offers sporty styling with comfortable seating for two.

The new Elite provides the security of the Honda brand in an affordable around-town runabout that anybody can enjoy as it comes with a complimentary rider training course through the Honda Academy. Riding is made easier due to Honda’s combined braking system, which automatically distributes the application of brake force between front and back wheel for safer, shorter stopping.

Honda claim fuel consumption of approximately 40km/l, and then go further to keep costs down by providing free labour on the first service.

Also included in the price is 12 months free roadside assistance and a 24 month unlimited mileage warranty.

One of the great advantages of a scooter is the generous under-seat storage area that’s big enough to stow a full-face helmet and more. A rear carrier bracket is also standard and is a lockable front storage compartment for smaller items.

The Elite 125 is available in Candy Lucid Red, Pearl White or Cosmic Silver.
