Harley-Davidson announce 2016 Africa Bike Week
The traditional Mass Ride will be held on Sunday 1st May between Margate and Port Shepstone.
Cape Town, South Africa (9 March 2016). For the eighth consecutive year, Harley-Davidson Africa presents the largest motorcycle event in South Africa, Africa Bike Week™ 2016 in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal. The event takes place from 28th April to 1st May 2016, and due to the public holidays, record attendance is expected at the event.
The traditional Mass Ride will be held on Sunday 1st May, when hundreds of Harley-Davidson and other motorcycles ride together from Shelly Centre to Port Shepstone and back to Margate.
Other highlights include, Harley-Davidson Durban dealership tent, official event merchandise with a special offer to members of the Harley Owners Group® (H.O.G. ®), displays of the latest Harley-Davidson motorcycle models and the new “Kings of Custom” display of amazing customized Harley-Davidson bikes.
The popular aftermarket area and local street vendors will offer goods for sale to suit everyone’s taste. And of course, anyone can enter their customized bike into the Ride-in Bike Show.
All visitors with a full bike license and over 21 years of age can test ride the latest Harley-Davidson models for free. Riders must have their own riding gear.
As in previous years, Africa Bike Week is open to all Harley-Davidson riders and enthusiasts, riders of all motorcycle brands, as well as all other visitors.
An entrance fee of R300 will be charged to enter the main stage entertainment area for visitors who have not registered online. While access to the event site is free of charge for all motorcycles and pedestrians, visitor numbers on the event site will be strictly controlled and is subject to space available.
Due to the growing numbers at the event, Harley-Davidson is committed to improving security, which will see stricter access control to the site and the introduction of online registrations to the event.
Harley-Davidson has again partnered with Hibiscus Coast Municipality, UGU District Municipality and UGU South Coast Tourism and key event sponsors to make Africa Bike Week™ 2016 another great event.
