Exclusive Evoque for the fortunate few

If you aim to stand out from the crowd an Evoque is already a hard act to follow, but the Black Edition guarantees success in this regard. With distinctive exterior detailing and a choice of any colour you like (as long as it is from the timeless trio of black, metallic grey or white), the Black Edition redefines chic.

Just 30 of these distinctive cross-roaders are available, all built to the Dynamic five-door specification level with a choice of the beefy, 177 kW Si4 2.0 litre petrol engine, or the hearty, SD4 2.2 litre turbodiesel rated at 140 kW. Both are mated to a six-speed transmission.

Upper strata street-cred gets ratcheted up still further thanks to darkened front headlamps and foglamps, while the rear lamps of the Black edition models are similarly unique, and have clear lenses.

A sporty tailgate spoiler is standard and is colour-matched to the black roof across the board, as are the exhaust tips. At the other end there’s more colour-coding of the same hue and the front valance and grille are Santorini Black.

The Evoque’s bold countenance and distinctive profile with tapered roofline has become familiar since the nameplate arrived on South African soil.

It boasts all the signature Range Rover design cues; including the clamshell bonnet, the floating roof and the solid ‘wheel-at-each-corner’ stance.

The width of the luggage compartment has been optimised to accommodate the full length of a golf bag, with no need to remove the longer clubs. Carefully designed stowage areas under the load floor add extra capacity, while load rails help to secure contents in the luggage compartment.

For even more space and flexibility, 60/40 folding rear seat squabs allow the luggage capacity to be expanded quickly and easily.

The four-wheel-drive Evoque delivers the all-weather, all-surface capability which is a hallmark of the brand.

It has formidable off-road potential, which is enhanced by the company’s signature Terrain ResponseTM system.

The Black edition is priced from R670 100.
