Chevrolet UteForce hits SA

It follows shortly after the launch of the black-and-white limited edition Chevrolet Sonic and Spark models in September and August.

Based on the 1.4 model, the UteForce Edition pays homage to Chevrolet’s work in the upliftment of underprivileged communities in South Africa.

“The UteForce campaign

was introduced in 2010 at the launch of the current Chevrolet Utility,” said Tim Hendon, Chevrolet brand manager at General Motors SA.

“The idea behind the concept was to become an enabling platform from which skilled experts from various backgrounds could launch sustainable community upliftment projects.

“The Chevrolet Utility has proven to be a reliable companion, delivering everything from gardening equipment, plants and soil, while covering thousands of kilometres over the past four years to get the UteForce team to where they are needed most,” said Hendon.

Chevrolet is offering 300 UteForce Edition vehicles, which are built at the Struandale plant in Port Elizabeth – ensuring great exclusivity.

The Utility 1.4 Base A/C benefits from special upgrades, such as 15-inch gunmetal alloy wheels, a stainless steel sports bar and special black decals.

The new UteForce is available exclusively in vector blue, Athenian white or maranello red.

“The UteForce reinforces the important role Chevrolet plays in South Africa. To date, Utility sales have passed 12 300 units,” Said Hendon.

“The UteForce is sure to be a hit – and with a retail price of just R160 900 is friendly on the wallet too.”

The new UteForce Edition is available with a five-year/120 000km warranty and has a service plan. – Own correspondent
