The South Yorkshire Police released these photos on their Facebook page on Thursday after a crash that reduced a brand-new Ferrari to smouldering ash.
The Ferrari 430 Scuderia veered off the highway in wet weather conditions and burnt into flames.
The police saw the funnier side of it, writing: “As we are an inquisitive bunch we found the driver and were amazed to see he only had minor cuts and bruises!

“Officers asked the driver what sort of car he ‘had’ to which he replied ‘It was a Ferrari’. Detecting a sense of damaged pride, he then said, ‘I’ve only just got it, picked it up an hour ago’.”
The car costs about R3.5 million in South Africa.
