Yesterday’s very brief storm put a stop to Middelburg’s recent heatwave, with drizzle expected to continue on and off throughout the day.
However, the South African Weather Service predicts potential thundershowers to begin at 14:00 and then again at 20:00.
Middelburg is expected to receive roughly 5mm of rain today, with a possible max temperature of 21°C and a minimum of 10°C.
Humidity is believed to reach as high as 70% later this evening.
Wind speeds are at a gentle breeze of 19km/h currently and will drop to as low as 9km/h later this afternoon.
Overcast and cloudy skies will be present throughout tomorrow, with sunshine to return during the remainder of the week and temperatures rising to the high 20s once again.
