So, it is the December holidays and you have no idea what to do with the kids. No sweat, we’ve got you covered. The great thing about this holiday is that it is buzzing with festivities and fun. So here are a couple of spots you can visit with the kiddies this weekend. 

MamaMagic Baby Expo 

When: 28 November- 1 December 2019 

Time: 9:00  – 18:00  (17:00 on Sunday) 

Price: R96 per adult (2 kids under age 10 allowed per adult ticket)

Venue: Ticketpro Dome, Northgate 

Did someone say ‘discount’? This expo is always the perfect place to go for some awesome discounts and bulk prices. So, go stock up on some 2020 supplies while the kids enjoy a fun Barney show. 

Frozen Fun Slide Park 

When: 29 November 2019- 5 January 2020

Time: 10:00 – 20:00

Venue: Canal Walk Shopping Centre, Cape Town 

Disney is coming to town with this celebration of Frozen 2. Come enjoy some fun rides, see Santa, get your shirts printed with the Frozen character and enjoy some good food at this fun-filled event. 

Jack and the Beanstalk 

When: 15 November – 22 December 2019 

Time: 10:30 

Price: R115-R395 

Venue: Mandela Theatre at Joburg Theatre

Theatre lovers can enjoy a wonderful display of a country boy Jack, the family cow, the magic beans, the enormous beanstalk, the unfriendly giant and the enchanted goose that lays golden eggs! The kids will love it. 

3rd Jozi Tese Festival 

When: 30 November 2019

Time: 10:00 

Price: R150 (children) R250 (adults)

Venue: Ruimsig Stadium, Roodepoort

There is nothing like a fun outdoor concert in the middle of a bright sunny day. Especially if it promises a fire line-up. And nothing screams ‘fire’ more than one of the hottest artists in Africa, Sho Madjozi, who will be joined by Mafikizolo, Holly Rey, Ralph Gum, and DJ Ganyani. So bring out your summer hats and camping chairs and enjoy a day with Jozi Tese and BET.
