The unstoppable Afropop music duo Mafikizolo and king of the dance music floors DJ Ganyani are back by popular demand.

The bustling outdoor Jozi Tese Festival, celebrating Johannesburg in all its glory, makes its third return on November 30 – this time at Ruimsig Stadium in Roodepoort.

A must for those looking for a cosmopolitan vibe, the lifestyle festival will feature live music, local artisan food markets, themed bars, hot air balloon rides and a variety of exhibitors from the hotel industry, automotive and property sectors as well as leading fashion and beauty brands.

The live music programme is led by Mzansi’s music sensation Sho Madjozi, house music superstar Holly Rey, DJ and producer Ralph Gum, neo-soul musician Simmy, Swazi-born songbird Zamo Dlamini and Afro-fusion band Boitumelo & Friends.

“This is really an important year for us as we continue to work hard, not only when it comes to developing and growing the Jozi Tese’s broad offering,” festival director Tshepo Riba said.

“This year’s top acts is an indication of our commitment to bringing music lovers and guests nothing but the best that South Africa and the rest of the continent has to offer.”

On the change of venue for this year’s festival – from Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens to Ruimsig – Riba said: “While selecting the venue for this festival, we considered a venue that would provide us with excellent facilities, beautiful scenery and tranquil surroundings.”
