Sho Madjozi, Sjava pics spark romance rumours

Their fans are ready for their romance.

Tsonga musician Maya Wegerif, popularly known by her stage name, Sho Madjozi, and Sjava have recently sparked romance rumours following pictures of the two looking “friendly” towards each other at Eyadini Lounge in Durban at the weekend.

Pictures of the two, shared by Eyadini, shows the two entering the venue and later Sjava touching Sho Madjozi’s hair while her hand rested on his chest.

Their fans concluded the two could be a couple and took to social media to voice their opinions.

But Sho Madjozi said their interaction was innocent and “sweet”.

“He was removing glitter from my hair and I was removing lint from his sweater. A Zulu king and a Tsonga princess looking out for each other. It’s sweet, I can see why you guys want it to be a love story,” Sho Madjozi said.

The Limpopo-born musician recently scooped the Female Artist of the Year and Newcomer of the Year awards at the South African Music Awards and a BET award in the Best New International Act category.

She confirmed her relationship status – sort of – when she threw shade at her ex-boyfriend, who she said would probably regret leaving her when he saw her career soaring.

She said she wrote her song Idhom, which means ‘You’re stupid’, about him. In the song, she calls the ex-boyfriend stupid for always being out having fun while making her look like a clown, among other reasons.
