Minnie and Quinton robbed of valuables worth R250K – report

Minnie and Quinton Jones were reportedly robbed of their valuables during a traffic stop in Randburg in May last year.

Minnie reportedly told police that the thief pointed at her with an unknown sharp object and forced her to open the window before robbing the couple.

Sunday World quoted a police statement as saying: “He told them to give him their cellphones and wallets. He then took her wedding ring and her husband’s cellphone and he fled the scene on foot. Total value of the items taken in the robbery is R250,000. I’m isured with Galleo Insurance.”

Police spokesperson Makgowanyana Maja told the publication that a case of robbery was opened at the Randburg police station, adding that no one had been arrested for the crime.
