The media personality’s news was met with positive reactions from fans of both herself and the brand.

Minnie Dlamini has been appointed as the lastest ambassador for Huawei South Africa.

The media personality made the announcement on Instagram.

In the video, Minnie revealed that she would commence her duties today, 28 May – a day before the brand unveils its newest smartphone, the Huawei P40 Series.

“Hi guys. I am so excited and proud to announce that I have officially joined the Huawei family and my duties commence tomorrow as we stream the official Huawei P40 Series launch party.”

To “kickstart the festivities” before the product launch, Minnie held a competition where one lucky person could win a set of Huawei Freebuds 3.

Huawei also confirmed the news on social media by welcoming Minnie to the family.

TV presenter-turned-rapper Boity Thulo, who partnered with the brand last year, congratulated Minnie on her new role, saying: “Welcome to the family, boo!”
