WATCH: Social media ‘touched’ as Miss SA is told ‘you’re going back to SA’

The footage has prompted outrage from those who haven't seen the full clip.

Footage of Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi, who left the country this week for the Miss Universe Pageant, has surfaced showing what could have been a questionable scene at the rehearsal phase of the Miss Universe pageant.

The video shows Tunzi attending to a garment, muttering that it may have got caught on something at the beach.

A man jokingly tells Tunzi: “You’re going back to South Africa…” and sarcastically tells Tunzi that he would report her to Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.

Exact details around the incident are still unknown, although the footage has prompted a reaction on Twitter streets for people who only saw the short version of the footage and not the full footage ending in laughter.

Some on social media have even demanded an apology from the Miss Universe pageant, clearly unaware of the entire context in the footage.

Tunzi left the country on Tuesday to represent South Africa on the international platform in hopes of winning the Miss Universe Pageant.

The pageant will take place on December 8 in Atlanta, Georgia, at Tyler Perry’s film studios. South Africans can watch the pageant live on 1 Magic (DStv 103) at 2am on Monday, December 9.
