WATCH: Twitter loves DJ Fresh on Newzroom Afrika speaking current affairs

The DJ was co-hosting the show on Tuesday morning.

Metro Fm DJ Fresh, real name Thato Sikwane, left fans in high spirits on Tuesday morning when he co-presented on the newly formed news broadcasting station, Newzroom Afrika. Fresh and Sizwe Dhlomo, alongside other presenters, tabled some of the countries current affairs.

The popular radio disc jockey trended on Twitter on Tuesday morning when he appeared on Newzroom Afrika’s Breaking Dawn show.

Although he is no stranger to television, fans welcomed DJ Fresh on TV with others wishing he could come again on Thursday or Friday.

The DJ’s apparent popularity on social media comes after he was suspended from Metro FM following a complaint lodged through the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa.

Fresh has been found guilty of foul language on air. He has been ordered to stay home and return to work on July 15.

Sunday World reports two SABC sources alleging that Fresh, through his lawyers, refused to adhere to conditions of his return on air. The DJ commented on a statement of his suspension to confirm that he had offered to apologise on the matter.

The radio DJ appears to have a major following on social media as his appearance on Newzroom Afrika sent shockwaves on social media.
