WATCH: Robert Marawa launches his own channel
'You asked for it... Now it is here... At your command,' he says.

Robert Marawa has finally given his fans what they’ve been asking for: his own TV channel. Taking to social media on Thursday evening, Marawa announced that he had launched his own online TV channel which fans will watch on YouTube. Clips of the channel show Mawara with Senegalese legend Khalilou Fadiga.
“You asked for it… Now it is here… At your command,” he said, further asking fans to subscribe. At the time of publishing, he already had 5,200 subscribers.
His fans were equally excited about his next venture and vowed to support his dream.
Flo Letoaba has already offered Marawa a studio.
“Rob, shout when you need studios, we’ll hook you up. Contact us,” she said.
Others have offered to be his camera operators, graphic designers and web designers
Dennis Munyuni wrote: “I stand proud to say I am one of those people who tweeted Mr Marawa and asked him to open his channel. When I woke up and saw this, I smiled. I have a marketing and strategy consulting company, reply for free services,” while Sifiso Mbatha said: “Thanks Rob for listening to us. Please invest in some cameras and set up a studio. Please have a weekly show like Thursday Night Live. Have guests and sit-downs discussing local and international sports with football being the main sport like always. Link up with people from all over the world discussing sports matters. You are well known now worldwide. We believe in you, my brother. We do not believe in SuperSport and SABC. We can watch football and other games on their channels but for analysis and great humour, we can come to your channel. Please, my brother, let’s make that happen. If you need us to donate to get that up and running let us know. This is 2019, the power is with the consumers, not some big organisations…”
Marawa, who had been a fixture at SuperSport for many years, shocked the soccer fraternity and his loyal fans in May, after suggesting that he’d been fired or suspended.
He said he’d been told less than two hours before the start of his show via text not to report for duty at the studio for the live broadcast of Thursday Night Live with Marawa.
Marawa simply then thanked his supporters and colleagues for the years together, indicating that he had in effect resigned.
