Bonang Matheba wins global social media award
The event is a celebration and honouring of popular figures from the world of social media.

TV personality Bonang Matheba flew the African flag high Wednesday night when she won the coveted award for best Inspiration and Influence at the Global Social Awards held in Prague, Czech Republic.
“It is such an honour to be acknowledged in this way and to bring Africa front and centre of world attention. I couldn’t be more thrilled,” says Bonang.
It’s not every day that a South African wins an award as the most inspiring and influential person in the world of social media and, importantly, winners are voted for by the public worldwide.

The Global Social Awards is a celebration and honouring of popular figures from the world of social media which, this year, bought more than 40 global influencers to Prague.
Hosted by Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova, the spectacular event included performances by, among many others, German-Canadian singer Alice Merton and Swedish superstar Alma.
