Sophie Lechaba returns to TV after four-year hiatus

The former 'Generations' actress is making her return to television in a new capacity.

The actress formerly known as Queen Moroka will be entering yet another new chapter in her life as she takes on the role of co-host alongside Jarred Doyle, Mantsoe Pout, and Francois Louw for a new show called Hashtags.

Lichaba most recently made headlines for her third marriage to Soweto business mogul Max Lichaba and rumours surrounding her health after she was photographed looking drastically thinner than fans were used to.

She later took to Instagram to dispell the rumours in November 2018.

According to host and executive producer of Hashtags Jarred Doyle, “the show not only showcases African talent” but it also features “interesting dialogue on various topics [and] will also bring Africa to the world”.

Hashtags will air on March 2, 2019, on eExtra Channel 105 on Openview and channel 195 on DSTV on Saturdays at 4pm with repeats on Sundays at 10.45am and Mondays at 8.30am.

Lichaba has also filmed scenes for a show called Family Matters which is yet to air.
