Somizi will reportedly get married on Nelson Mandela Bridge

Who has granted permission to allow the bridge to be closed off for a wedding ceremony is not yet known.

Multiple media outlets, including Sunday World, Celeb Gossip and AfroHype Magazine, have reported that Somizi Mhlongo plans to marry his fiance, Mohale Motaung, over the Easter weekend.

That the wedding will be an over-the-top affair goes without saying, and what is reported to be the couple’s choice of venue does not disappoint – they apparently plan to get married on Nelson Mandela Bridge in Newtown.

It has been reported that the venue has already been “greenlighted” – although by who is unclear. The bridge is usually open to traffic and whether or not it can legally be shut down for a wedding ceremony remains to be seen.

The pair hosted an all-black engagement party in October, All4Women reported.

The all-black party was held at 54 on Bath Hotel.

It seems that the posh do was a strictly family affair as none of Somizi’s famous friends appeared to be at the dinner.

Both their families, including their parents, were in attendance and full of smiles.

“Special evening. The Motaung and the Mhlongo families dinner. #somhale engagement dinner,” captioned an image from the dinner.

Somhale, as their fans are now calling the couple, got engaged during a romantic getaway to Paris in March.

They tried to keep the proposal a secret, but the tabloids soon got wind of the exciting news.
