Chicco Twala gets his own reality show

Music mogul Chicco Twala is stirring something up on his new reality TV show.

Legendary musician, Chicco Twala is bringing his eventful life to the small screen after it was confirmed that he will be starring in his own reality TV show.

Chicco has made a number of headlines in 2018 already, following accusations of his son’s involvement in the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.

When it was reported that he was working on a reality show, we were hoping that he would use the platform to address some of the rumours, but it looks as if he’s steering well clear of this topic.

Instead, Chicco’s new show will be food-based and will follow the day-to-day challenges of running a restaurant in Soweto. From what reports suggest, the show will be called Kasi Chefand will bring the best of Kasi flavour from Diepkloof Zone 5 to the rest of the country.

The reality show will be based in his restaurant, Lapeng, which is currently under renovation.

Speaking to Metro FM this week, Twala gave us a taste of what’s to come.

“I am going to have a reality show soon. I am busy renovating my restaurant in Soweto at the moment. Kasi Chef is about getting people from iKasi to come and cook traditional foods. We will have a reality show about that. There will be prizes to be won.”

According to reports in Ghafla and Tshisa Live, the reality TV show will be a combination of Come Dine With Me and Master Chef.

Considering that Lepang specialises in homely South African food, we’re expecting to see a combination of locally traditional dishes and modern kasi cuisine. Will you be tuning in to watch episodes of Kasi Chef?
