New beef? Glen Lewis tells Tbo Touch to ‘shut up’

A beef can arise in South African entertainment at any moment, but nobody expected that the newest feud would be between Tbo Touch and Glen Lewis.

The two radio legends have departed from their posts at the Internet station, Touch HD under very different circumstances. Tbo Touch bowed out gracefully as he paved the way for a new-look line-up, while Glen Lewis was axed from the roster with little public explanation.

Instead, it was announced that youthful trio, The Microwave Boys, would be taking over the breakfast show that Glen Lewis had previously held down.

Many people would think that all of the communication happened behind the scenes but a recent exchange between the two personalities has us wondering if Glen Lewis knew (or was happy with) his exclusion from the new Touch HD line-up.

It all began when Tbo Touch took to Twitter to tweet:

“Salute the Legend Glen Lewis; radios Hall Fame without a doubt Your contribution to the industry is unsurpassed and I’m grateful to be counted amongst those who’ve shared the microphone with you and this is just chapter two of our historical journey.”

We were expecting a cordial response from Glenzito but instead, the radio legend bit back:

Tbo Touch’s publicist, Lulu Mthimkhulu spoke to Drum magazine and responded to the allegations of beef between her client and Glen Lewis: “I can’t speak as to why Glen is upset but we wouldn’t make changes without careful thought. As far as I know, there is no beef between Touch HD and Glen.”

What do you think could have sparked this fiery exchange
