‘It’s fake!’ – Nasty C says after ‘pet shark’ backlash

Nasty C shocked his fans this week when he posted a picture of himself and what appeared to be a shark in a home swimming pool.

The rapper captioned the picture: “New pet. She needs a name.”

His followers expressed concern about the shark being exposed to chlorine while others were stunned that he would even buy one – which according to reports would cost him between R25 000 and R50 000.

But Nasty C has confirmed that he did not buy a shark, and it turns out the image he shared on Instagram was fake!

His manager Ayanda Ngcobo says the image was photoshopped to make it appear like the shark pup was inches away from the rapper.

“It isn’t real at all. It is just photoshopped like some of the other images Nasty C has been playing around with on his social media… We would not have a shark in the pool. It was just a picture,” he told TshisaLIVE.

Ayanda also slammed reports that they would spend thousands of rands on a shark.

It wasn’t hard for Nasty C’s fans to believe that he would purchase such an exotic pet – in the land of Celebville anything is possible.

The 20-year-old certainly would have the money to buy one. He offered a R100 000 reward in September to anyone who could help him find his stolen laptop. So, a shark would be small change for him!

Though, we have to admit that it was pretty weird that anyone would keep a baby shark in their swimming pool!
