Johnny Clegg signs global deal for new album
Johnny Clegg announced his global signing with Universal Music South Africa to release his brand new upcoming album, “King Of Time.”

The album is due for release towards the later part of 2017, and includes songs that tell a story and a reflection of his life.
“I am very excited to sign a global deal with Universal Music Group, with their enthusiasm and electric energy it felt like the right fit to release my brand-new album, ‘King of Time’,” says Johnny Clegg.
Earlier this year Clegg announced a final set of concerts worldwide, with shows selling out within hours. The purpose of The Final Journey Tour was to thank his fans for their support over his 40-year-long career.
Johnny Clegg has an unparalleled repertoire of songs which began with the release of Juluka’s Universal Men in 1979 and continued through the Savuka years, with his full body of work all falling under one label.
“King Of Time” includes song’s performed on The Final Journey Tour such as “Color of My Skin.”
“It has definitely been a highlight for me to able to sign the legendary artist and global icon – Johnny Clegg. There are few artists from this African soul, whose music spans over 4 decades and who has released as many albums as he has.
