Hulisani Ravele’s classy clapback for topless pic critics

Hulisani Ravele took to Instagram this week to share topless pictures of herself, but not everyone was happy about it.

The TV and radio personality posted three pictures from a photoshoot on her account.

While most fans praised the star for the beautiful snaps, some slammed her for posting the half-naked images.

One fan expressed her disappointment in the comments section.

“[You’ve] been a queen in my eyes since you were on Yo.tv… but today I am very sad because I never thought I would come across your half naked picture,” the follower posted.

Hulisani was quick to reply with a classy clapback.

“I’m sorry you feel that way. I’m sorry that you feel an expression and celebration of my culture is beneath your standards of all that is pure and right. God bless,” she replied.

The fan apologised for offending Hulisani, but had a few words for those defending Hulisani for embracing her venda culture.

“Please let’s not make culture an excuse to be naked when two generations before us have passed without being naked,” the follower wrote.

Hulisani did not seem too bothered with the mild controversy over her topless snaps, and posted two more snaps from the shoot.

The presenter revealed in an inspiring post last year that she has learned to accept herself just the way she is.

She opened up about how she was bullied as a child because her face was covered in freckles.

“When I was in primary school I was teased for my freckles. I made my mother take me from doctor to doctor, wanting to get them removed. When I was in high school, I was told they were unique. Only then did I start accepting them and loving them… Love yourself, from the inside out by choice,” she said on Instagram.
