The hitmaker has denied being ill, saying he is looking forward to releasing his new album.

Malinga says he is well and no longer sick.

He was spotted looking slimmer and frail at a Metro FM listening session, a short while after he was released from hospital. He had been suffering from anaemia.

“I’m not sick. Let people talk, but I know that I’m fine. I got sick then because I was tired,” Robbie told TshisaLIVE.

Universal Music spokesperson Dharam Sewraj told Sunday Sun Malinga had been diagnosed with anaemia, a deficiency of iron in his blood. Sewraj further told the publication Malinga was “recovering very well”.

“His fans should not panic, but should pray for his speedy recovery. You must remember that Robbie is always on the road. And as a label, we’re going to encourage him to rest from now on.
