Don’t start with me! Sizwe Dhlomo tells Pearl Thusi in twar

While Pearl says Sizwe was 'undermining' her, the radio personality says the Quantico actor's anger is simply misplaced.

In a surprising turn of events, TV personality Pearl Thusi has gotten involved in perhaps her pettiest Twitter fight yet, this time with radio presenter Sizwe Dhlomo, over the 100 Most Influential Young Africans list.

The list includes AKA, Akani Simbine, Bonang Matheba, Julius Malema and Cassper Nyovest, to name a few, with Dhlomo and Thusi excluded.

While the names on the list appeared in alphabetical order, Thusi thought they listed the people in order of their influence, and Sizwe was the first to correct her.

The Quantico actor was not pleased that Nigerian singer Wizkid was at the bottom of the list.

“Wizkid in the 90s. No bruh. Please respect us,” she said with a laughing emoji.

.

.

“But it clearly says there ‘Alphabetical order’,” Dhlomo tweeted Thusi, much to her annoyance.

She told Dhlomo she did not ask for his input. In fact, he should have texted her the correction instead of “undermining” her on social media.

Sizwe did not back down though, as he asked her if she thought he should have texted her over a tweet.

“Yes, Sizwe. Stop using your intellect and desire to fix things to undermine people. We love you, but it’s tiring now babe. But lemme text you now,” she told him.

“There’s nothing to fix there, ukhulume um’bhedo nje, finish. That’s why you even deleted it nawe, because uyazi. Being rude to me won’t help,” he hit back.

She again told him to stop undermining people. “Just stop. Umbedo wami awuhlangene nawe. Ubungamenywanga,” she told him.

“Even this, twice you sent this tweet, but you’re busy here talking about ‘I should have texted you’. Don’t start with me!” Dhlomo told Thusi.

Responding to a follower who said the correction was not that “deep”, Dhlomo said Thusi was not angry about being corrected publicly, but because of the list itself.

“That anger wasn’t about the correction or being undermined, it’s about the list itself,” he said.

Pearl has since deleted all her tweets.
