WATCH: Did I loan my vagina from you? Mona Monyane asks critics

The actor says unless someone else owns her vagina, they have no right telling her when to fall pregnant.

Mona Monyane, popularly known as Dr Nthabeleng on Muvhango, has come out guns blazing, lashing out at her critics. Monyane has recently shared pictures of herself with a baby bump, and some of her followers said it was “too soon” for her to fall pregnant again.

Monyane welcomed her first daughter, Ase-Ahadi Lesemole Mamphai, with fellow actor Khulu Skenjana in August last year, and is now 20 weeks pregnant.

She caught sight of the criticism and made a video, slamming those who she said had no business making such comments.

She said: “This one is for the ladies who have opinions about when other women can and cannot have children. Is this not my vagina? Did I loan my vagina from you? Did you somehow, ake tsebe [I don’t know], put in a petition to have ownership of my vagina, and then nna I decided that I’m not going to release my vagina to you, I still want to have children?

“Because unless we’re sharing, then your opinion does not matter, my love. So, women, it’s already too rough for us to be turning against each other, please, just be happy for other people.”

Her followers commended her bravery in tackling issues “head-on” and said haters had no right to criticise a grown woman’s pregnancy.

“Too soon for who? they are mad..When teenage school girls fall pregnant they be clapping hands and throwing baby shower for kids having a baby after the other. And when an older woman like you who is able to provide for her children have babies it’s too soon? They are more than hypocrites..i don’t even know what to call this kind of people,” said one.
