Nasty C set to meet Roc Nation

“I don’t want an average Roc Nation contract. I don’t want a set standard record deal. I want something different."

Hip Hop artist David Junior Ngcobo, better known by his stage name Nasty C, went on Twitter to announce he had been called by American rapper Jay Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation, to schedule a meeting with him.

He tweeted:

Speaking to Sowetan, the Juice Back hit maker said although he was excited about the call, he did not want to “get ahead” of himself because the meeting could be about anything. Nasty C, who is currently not signed to any record, said he had not written off the idea of being signed, however, Roc Nation would have to give him an offer he cannot refuse.

“I don’t want an average Roc Nation contract. I don’t want a set standard record deal. I want something different. I’ve seen the language they use in contracts and I’ve seen enough people get blindsided so I’m cautious about contracts. Maybe I’ve just got my guard up,” he told the paper.

His fans on Twitter did not hold back from congratulating the rapper on being noticed by an international record label.
