An American television series, by the creators of “Baywatch”, is currently being filmed in the icy waters of Cape Town.

“I’m in my red one-piece, she’s [actress Danielle Anderson] in her bikini, there have been days when it has just been so, so cold. We get really quiet when they call ‘action’ because we’re conserving our energy,” actress Katie Meehan told the Sunday Times newspaper.

Cape Town is to stand in for Malibu in the series SAF3, which stars, amongst others, action star Dolph Lundgren and soapie actors Texas Battle (SUBS: CORR) and JR Martinez.

Filming wraps up next week and the show is set to air in 60 countries.

“I haven’t been more spray tanned in my life,” SA actor Karl Thaning said.
