If you really love beer then you’ll agree that trying to have just one is like trying to fall down just one step on a staircase. The same can be said of great stand-up comedy.
If you love it, then one act is just not going to cut it. And don’t get me wrong, live comedy is great, except when it’s not. Unfortunately, unless you’re going to see someone you know is solid, you don’t know what you’re going to get.
Thankfully Blu Blood, who created the Kings & Queens of Comedy brand in 2012, know about great comedy talent and rounding up the best that South Africa has to offer.
Lovers of comedy and hilarity can look forward to a spectacular line-up of some of country’s wittiest and funniest comedy talent when the long-standing flagship comedy brand Kings & Queens of Comedy descend on Durban.

Their show on Saturday, will take place at the International Convention Centre on Saturday and is guaranteed to be a show of hysterical proportions.
If a good laugh is what you’re looking for this weekend, then this royal entourage of local comedy favourites such as Riaad Moosa, Carvin Goldstone, Tumi Morake, Ndumiso Lindi, to name but a few, are sure to have you rolling in the aisles – unless, of course, you’re that guy or lady who attends comedy shows but never quite get the jokes.
Celebrating seven years of Kings & Queens of Comedy, the production has since grown to be one of the leading brands in South Africa, promoting and showcasing the local talent.

Hosted by funnyman Darren Maule of East Coast Breakfast, the show includes, among others, the most vocal and politically opinionated puppet Chester Missing, accompanied by his faithful sidekick Conrad Koch.
Chester Missing and Koch are synonymous for their outrageous, punch-packing, often controversial, funny and frank views on the current South African state of affairs.
Known as the king of Indian comedy, Muthu Murugan, who has been wowing audiences for many years, will also bring his sharp-tongued wit to the stage.
The show is rated PG16. Tickets range from R200 and are available at Computicket outlets and online.
