WATCH: The Mpisane family mansion in KwaZulu-Natal

Over the last decade, the family has secured over R1 billion in government business, predominantly to build low-income houses.

A video of the famous Mpisane family mansion has left social media users asking if it had traffic lights and if one needed to drive from one room to another.

“So when you go to your parents’ bedroom you need to carry a lunch box? That distance,” said Twitter user @Vuyo, while @BonganiMahlangu said: “That thing is not a house nor a mansion… it’s a flippin PALACE!! Considering the location, it could easily fetch anything between R110 million and above in the markets.”

Their known assets include 128 cars and 10 properties, including this lavish La Lucia home.
