Cassper Nyovest announces date for #FillUpMosesMabhidaStadium

You can’t beat a great social media business model. Just ask Cassper Nyovest.
Last year, the hip hop star became the top tweeted celebrity in South Africa with his #FillUpFNBStadium campaign. The hashtag caught fire and when the big day came, Nyovest played to 68 000 fans at the FNB Stadium last November, making him the first local hip hop artist to ever accomplish such a feat.
It was just the latest step in Nyovest’s #FillUp journey, which began with packing out the TicketPro Dome in 2015 and the Orlando Stadium in 2016.
Not one to rest on his laurels, it seems Nyovest is having a second crack using the same strategy. In a rather hilarious video posted on Twitter this morning, Nyovest has announced a plan to fill up the Moses Mabhida Stadium on December 1st.

It’s all played for laughs – Nyovest seems rather put out in the video as a camera crew interrupts his round of golf in order to get the scoop – but the upshot is local hip hop fans have every reason to be excited. Expect the #FillUpMosesMabhidaStadium to start appearing in your timeline very soon indeed and mark your calendars for December.
