5 TV series that will be ending in 2018
Time to say goodbye to the 'New Girl' and 'The Middle', and bid farewell to the black humour of 'You're the Worst'.

“Scandal,” “The Americans,” and “House of Cards” are all bidding farewell this year to viewers with their final seasons, along with these five series, which, after a number of years on the air, will be departing the small screen in 2018.
New Girl
Jessica, Nick, Cece, Schmidt and Winston will be back for a seventh season on FOX, which has been cut down to eight episodes. The story, which begins four years after the end of season six, offers updates on the lives of all of the characters.
Zooey Deschanel will play the role of Jess for the last time, alongside fellow travelers Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and Hannah Simone. The final season of “New Girl” will begin on April 10 on FOX and end with a special one-hour long episode on May 15.
The Middle
ABC’s family series is to sign off after nine years on the air. The Hecks, an archetypical American middle-class family living in Indiana, are already embarked on their final adventure.
The story will come to a conclusion in May with a final two-hour episode. As it stands, there are seven episodes of the season that have yet to air.
You’re the Worst
The romance will have lasted for five seasons. Launched on the cable and satellite channel FX in 2014, the tribulations of Jimmy and Gretchen will come to an end on FX’s sister channel FXX in 2018.
Aya Cash, Chris Geere, Kether Donohue and Desmin Borges will once again take up their roles in this series that broke new ground in the traditional romantic comedy genre. Broadcast dates for the final series have yet to be announced.
The Originals
Devised as a spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries”, “The Originals” will cease production after five seasons on US channel CW.
Created in 2013 by Julie Plec, who also developed “The Vampire Diaries,” the series focuses on the character of Klaus Mikaelson, played by Joseph Morgan, who featured in “The Vampire Diaries”, and his family, in the wake of their return to New Orleans.
The final blood-thirsty season will start airing in the United States on April 20.
Casual
Hulu’s whacky comedy will be back for a final lap in July. Season four will put an end to the romantic adventures of Valerie, Alex and Laura, respectively played by Michaela Watkins, Tommy Dewey and Tara Lynne Barr, in eight episodes that will all be made available on the streaming platform on July 31.
The series focuses on Valerie, a newly divorced single mother, and her daughter, Laura, who live with Valerie’s brother, Alex.
