Somizi Mhlongo has posted a video of him auditioning to be a host on Our Perfect Wedding. Mzansi Magic announced last week that presenter Thembisa Mdoda will be bidding farewell to the show – and for good this time – after being on the show for three seasons.
The reality wedding show will, however, continue with a returning host, Nomsa Buthelezi, as the show looks for new talent. After seven seasons, Our Perfect Wedding will be holding auditions, opening the industry for new faces to grace our screens.
Though Somizi is not a new face, he has decided to audition for a chance to replace Thembisa, only on one condition: he wants to host only international weddings.
“So when I heard that Thembisa Mdoda is leaving OPW I thought hmmm I can do this. But on one condition. International weddings. So here’s my tape for an international wedding. Opwtf. @candytsamandebelesa congrats. Masambeni,” he said.
In his audition, he pretends to be hosting musician Candy Tsa Mandebele and actor Denzel Washington’s wedding taking place in Hollywood.
