I got cash but not R5m, says Mabala artist Gigi Lamayne

Another Mabala Noise artist is speaking out about claims they received R5m from the glitzy record label.

Owned by ANC Youth League (ANCYL) treasurer-general Reggie Nkabinde, the record label has been making headlines since it was revealed it supposedly gave its artists R5 million each.

Rapper Riky Rick denied he had been given the amount despite splurging on several high-performance and luxury Mercedez-Benz vehicles of late, while Nkabinde hosted a press conference in which he also denied the claims made by EFF leader Julius Malema.

Khanyi Mbau though, spoke openly about receiving “lots of money”, which she said had changed lives. Now another artist, Gigi La Mayne, has spoken about the R5 million.

Speaking to Zkhiphani.com, Gigi said she didn’t get that much money but was proud to be a part of a record label that took their artists seriously. She spills the beans in the video below.
