Watch: SA youth choir auditioned for America’s Got Talent & blew everyone away

The Ndlovu Youth Choir have become a popular group, wowing South Africans with their talents, now they are wowing an international audience.

Get ready to shed a tear for the proudly South African Ndlovu Youth Choir. We are so flippin’ proud of the young men and women who flew the South African flag high!

In 2018, the Ndlovu Youth Choir performed an isiZulu cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” during an interview on Jacaranda’s breakfast show. Since then, they have been doing some incredible things. Most recently, they travelled to America to go audition for America’s Got Talent.

The choir forms part of a more significant project which started in 1994. The Ndlovu Care Group was founded in 1994 by a Dutch doctor names Dr Hugo Templeman, in the rural village of Moutse, Limpopo.

The care group provides innovative healthcare, childcare, education and community development. The Ndlovu Youth Choir was created in 2009 and has since, profoundly affected the lives of the young members.

The choir demonstrates the potential of any human being when given a chance to achieve excellence no matter their background, education or place of birth. The youth choir has grown from humble beginnings to the incredible ensemble it is today.

CnandCo teamed up with the choir in October last year and are overjoyed at far they are making it. Considering they have travelled from rural Limpopo to America’s Got Talent stage is proof of their talent and dedication.

“When we learned that the choir had been asked to audition for Season 14 of America’s Got Talent (AGT) we were ecstatic and couldn’t wait to watch their audition. Well, the wait is over and the choir blew the AGT audience away!” – CnandCo.

Warning: This video will make you cry, so grab a tissue or three before you hit play! Watch their audition below.

While our eyes may have flooded over, we are really crying because we are so proud. The Ndlovu Youth Choir has come so far since we first shared their story, and we cannot wait to see them take over the world. We are behind you every step of the way ladies and gents! You’ve got this!
