New York Fashion Week is officially underway, and the first day of the ready-to-wear womenswear shows for the Fall/Winter 2018 season certainly had some intriguing approaches to catwalk beauty, with bold red lips and kaleidoscopic colors stealing the spotlight.
The Tom Ford beauty look revolved around a smoldering smoky eye and plenty of smudged, chunky liner. Contoured cheekbones, nude lips and bushy brows completed the high-end look.
Clashing tones were the theme of the beauty look at Tadashi Shoji, where postbox red lipstick (which has been making a comeback recently) was teamed with mustard-toned eyeshadow, for a challenging, modern aesthetic.
Psychedelic wigs in shades of lavender, turquoise and tangerine, baby pink lipstick and graphic neon eyeshadow motifs: Jeremy Scott made an arresting, cosmic beauty statement at his ready-to-wear show.
It was all about gelled bangs at Adam Selman, where the models sported stringy, side-swept fringes with a wet-look texture. A feline eye and strong blusher underscored the bold look.
Fierce red lipstick and dark, metallic eyeshadows were also the killer combination of choice at Eugenia Kim, complemented with a dewy complexion and bold brows.
