The skills empowerment programme’s backing came full circle last year when, together, the ladies opened a luxurious day spa at Carnival City’s Carnival Club Hotel.

An amalgamation of their first names, they called this dream-come-true Precious Rubies Spa and Beauty Salon.

After years of hard work and a will to succeed, they have achieved their goal and are now reaping the rewards – and the girls are still tremendously excited and well-intentioned.

They are even more focused on their clients and providing superior treatments.

They take their work seriously and are always eager to serve – ensuring a time of relaxation, peace and calm.

The ladies were quoted in a recent press release as saying: “We are absolutely delighted to see our dream of operating our own spa come to life.

“This is the fruition of years of hard work and months of planning.

“With our slogan ‘Duty makes us do things well, but love makes us do them beautifully’, we promise our guests professional services by dedicated, qualified therapists using premium quality products in an immaculate setting.”

With an emphasis on quality and wellness of the mind, body and soul, the ladies have selected Dermalogica as the spa’s primary skincare brand.

Since the spa is still in its first phase of construction, it is limited to two treatment rooms and they can only accommodate two to three people at a time – apart from manicures and pedicures, which have their own treatment area.

Excessive noise from reception can be heard from inside the treatment room – but undoubtedly these issues will be addressed as the spa continues to grow and expand.

Treatments available at Precious Rubies Spa and Beauty Salon include massages, pre-natal massage, facials, manicures and pedicures, nail extensions, make-up, eyelash extensions, eyebrow and lash tinting, and waxing.

When the second phase of construction is complete, hairstyling for ethnic and Caucasian hair will be introduced.
