You can pick up an Xbox One S for R3 999 in time for the World Cup

If you’ve been in the market for a new console but the price has been putting you off, there’s some good news.

Prima, the South African distributor is slashing the price of the Xbox One S ahead of the World Cup, offering rather tasty bundle for just around four grand.

For R3 999, customers can pick up an Xbox One S with 1TB of storage, a second Xbox One S controller and a copy of FIFA 18.

Prima is calling this the Laduuuuma bundle, and if you think it’s not value for money, consider the following: FIFA 18 still sells for R1 000 on its own and an Xbox One S with 500GB of storage costs the same as this entire bundle. You’ll be saving around R1 500 if you take advantage of this offer.

Not only that, but you’ll have a brand new console upon which to play FIFA 18 just as EA Sports releases the World Cup update for the game, which drops today.

“This expansion pack lets players choose one of 32 qualified nations to live out their FIFA World Cup dream and write their own history from the group stage to the final in Moscow in Online Friendlies and Online Tournament modes,” Prima said in a statement.

Oh, and then there’s all the other cool stuff you can get on an Xbox One S, like backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games, streaming media like Netflix and Showmax and the ability to watch Blu Rays and play games in UHD 4K, the fidelity of your television set permitting.

You better hurry, though, this offer ends on June 8th – that’s next week Friday – and is only available while stocks last at participating online and physical retailers.
