In this week’s episode of Tech Check with Kahla and Kruger, we talk to Marcé Bester from Asus about the soon-to-be-launched gaming handheld, the ROG Ally.
Yes, it’s true. The Ally wasn’t just another April Fool’s joke, and yes, it is launching in South Africa soon.
The Ally is a full-fledged Windows 11 device. It features an AMD Ryzen Z1 series processor and RDNA 3 graphics. And it weighs only 608 grams!
We were lucky enough to get our hands on a pre-production sample ahead of the launch, and we invited Marcé from Asus HQ to our podcast studio so we could all hype about it together.
The high-refresh-rate touchscreen display ensures clear visibility in outdoor settings, which is ideal for gamers who enjoy playing games while on the go.
We can’t share a lot at this stage, but we can confirm that the cutting-edge APU design allows the ROG Ally to redefine handheld gaming.
Being Windows-enabled means you’ll enjoy seamless gameplay from any of your library or streaming services.
A review will go up on this website in due course. In the meantime, tune in to our latest podcast for the specs and more.
