Puma has announced that its very first branded smartwatch — aptly named the Puma Smartwatch — will be launching at this year’s IFA 2019.
Powered by Google’s Wear OS wearable operating system and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset, the Puma Smartwatch is the first intelligent watch released by the company.
Though the company announced it Thursday, it will officially launch during IFA 2019 which kicks off Friday in Berlin.
Only one size display — a round, 1.19-inch AMOLED display — is available, set inside a 44mm nylon and aluminum frame with a sportwatch aesthetic. According to the company, the device is swimproof.
The Puma Smartwatch will come with 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM — fairly standard specs for such Android wearables — and is expected to offer over 24 hours of battery life.
The official launch of the device will take place at IFA 2019 in Berlin which runs September 6 – 11.
When the Puma Smartwatch is available for purchase in November, it will go for $275 (R4,100).
