With the release of Final Fantasy XVI on PS5 set for 22 June, the attention is shifting to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and maybe a few Wolverine tidbits, too.
Rumours suggest that Spider-Man 2 might be released by September this year, but it’s not just Insomniac stealing the spotlight.
The highlight of the evening seems to be Naughty Dog! We heard something about a multiplayer game set in its post-apocalyptic Last of Us universe.

And we might even be lucky and get a Horizon update from Guerrilla Games.
Indie content
Sony has also confirmed appearances by third-party content and a slew of games from indie partners.
Mortal Kombat 1, also due for a release in September, is likely to debut gameplay footage and trailers at tonight’s Showcase.
Meanwhile, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2 and Tekken 8 will definitely be a highlight. So to would be a glimpse at Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Unfortunately, details about the sequel to the Final Fantasy VII Remake have been scarce.
All we know at this stage for sure is that director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed a “full production”, with a tentative Winter 2023 release date.
