Man kills Youtube star and posts photo of her body on Instagram

Alerted by users on social media police swooped on the home of Brandon Andrew Clark, 21, of Cicero in upstate New York. According to the followers of popular social media star Bianca Devins, Clark, who was her boyfriend, had obviously killed her and was then posting photos of her body online.

“You’re gonna have to find somebody else to orbit,” he is alleged wrote on the posts, using a term for tracking potential romantic interests online.

Devins frequented Discord servers and the anonymous forum 4chan and incorporated Minecraft and Hello Kitty into her posts. She was known as an e-girl, a subculture of young women who tend to have large followings on TikTok, Tumblr, and Instagram, and blend gamer culture with emo aesthetics. The 21-year-old Clark is accused of slitting her throat before uploading an image of her to Instagram where it stayed behind a “sensitive image” filter for the next twelve hours.

Meanwhile, police had tracked the couple to the end of a dead end road, where they found Clark sitting beside the body of Devin, who was splayed out on a tarpaulin beside her car. As they approached Clark is alleged to have stabbed himself in the neck before lying down next to the body, and shooting a selfie of the two of them together as the blood ran from his throat, and police watched on in horror.

Clark is also alleged to have posted photos of the violence and the moments before and after the attack to a social media site called Discord and what appeared to be Clark’s Instagram account, @yesjuliet. The account shared a photo of a dark road, with the caption, “Here comes hell,” followed by a picture of a woman’s bloodied upper torso.

“I am sorry Bianca,” one caption read.

A Utica police spokesman, Sgt. Michael Curley confirmed the authenticity of the post.

Clark’s account, which had 2500 followers beforehand had accumulated more than 80 000 before being removed by Instagram.
