Lenovo unveils slate of ThinkPad, IdeaPad notebooks ahead of CES 2023
Lenovo said the devices are designed to meet the needs of today's on-the-go consumer offering speed, versatility, and convenience.

Lenovo has unveiled a number of consumer devices in time for the 2023 Consumer Electronic Show (CES).
The new range includes five performance-driven and portable IdeaPad laptops, a compact IdeaCentre desktop, and a 9-inch Android tablet called Lenovo Tab M9.
Lenovo said the devices are designed to meet the needs of today’s on-the-go consumer, offering speed, versatility, and convenience for work, study, and leisure.
ThinkPad X1
The ThinkPad X1 laptops feature recycled materials, updated Lenovo Commercial Vantage software designed to highlight feature settings that can help improve energy efficiency, and a new Lenovo View application offering advanced computer vision technology for enhanced video image quality and tools for collaboration, security, and digital wellness.

According to Lenovo’s announcement, the 14-inch ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, 13-inch ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8, and 13-inch ThinkPad Nano Gen 3 will each use as much as 97 percent post-consumer content (PCC) plastic in their battery enclosures and 95 percent PPC plastic in the laptops’ speaker enclosures, as well as their included AC adapters.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 will have a palm rest that’s 90 percent recycled magnesium. Meanwhile, the clamshell’s bottom cover will be 55 percent recycled aluminum.
Lenovo‘s ThinkPad X1 Nano 2-in-1, the lightest PC in Lenovo’s ThinkPad line-up, will have a palm rest and bottom cover that are a 90 percent “recycled magnesium hybrid”, Lenovo said.
Specs
Armed with latest Intel Core processors, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 will have up to 64GB of LPDDR5, up to 2TB SSD of internal storage, and an Intel Iris X GPU. It will also have a 57 Whr battery and will only weigh 2.48lbs.
Meanwhile, the Yoga Gen 8 model will carry the same specs but will naturally come with the flexible hinge for more portability.
Finally, the smaller ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 will have 16GB of RAM, up to 2TB of SSD storage, and an Intel Iris X GPU. It will also have a slightly smaller 49.6 Whr battery.

IdeaPad 5 series
Lenovo said the new generation of IdeaPad Pro 5i and IdeaPad Pro 5 bring a host of new technology features for enhanced performance to improve the user experience.
The latest IdeaPad Slim 5i and IdeaPad Slim 5 laptops boast bigger screen sizes, an OLED option, and a larger touchpad for convenience.
Offering 2-in-1 agility for productivity, the IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook delivers what’s needed for on-the-go performance.
The IdeaPad line-up particularly the IdeaPad Pro 5i, will come with up to a next-gen Intel Core i7 processor, up to 32GB of RAM, up to 1TB of internal storage, and a NVIDIA GeForce GPU. It will also come with a 75 Whr battery.
Meanwhile, the IdeaPad Slim 5i comes with similar specs but only up to 16GB of RAM and an Intel Integrated GPU. The IdeaPad Slim 5 will come with up to Ryzen 7 7730U processor, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of internal storage, and an Intel Integrated GPU.
Finally, the IdeaPad Flex 3i will come with an Intel Processor N200, a NVIDIA GeForce GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage. Its battery will last up to 12 hours on a single charge.
IdeaCentre Mini
For the home or even dorm-room, Lenovo introduced its next-gen IdeaCentre Mini, a sleek 1L desktop PC featuring an updated design that blends modern form and practical function.
With a built-in power supply unit (PSU), this sleek and compact device will complement any room décor and fit just about anywhere on a desk, whether lying flat, or sitting vertically in the included metal stand.
Its thoughtfully designed chassis can be easily opened, allowing users to access its dual-vortex cooling fan and memory chip to upgrade configurations or perform repairs when needed.
Featuring the latest Intel Core processor, two DDR4 memory chips, SSD storage8 up to 1 TB, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and ample ports with a Type-C Thunderbolt 4.0, it can be the command center for multiple smart devices and peripherals.
Those on the go can also take advantage of the Lenovo Smart Storage solution to conveniently save their files to the cloud and access them from their tablet, smartphone, or laptop when away from their desk.
Lenovo Tab M9
Weighing under 344g and just 7.99mm thick, this tablet is comprised of a 9-inch HD display housed within in dual-tone metal casing, offering an in-hand experience.
Netflix HD-supported, the viewing experience provided by the Lenovo Tab M9 is enhanced by the Dolby Atmos spatial audio experience and its dual stereo speakers. Its MediaTek Helio G80 Octa-Core processor, Android 12 operating system, and up to 128G of storage.
The Tab M9 boasts up to 13 hours1 of video playback battery life.
People’s in-app experience will also benefit from the tablet’s fast Wi-Fi 5 connectivity and optimized GPS function.
Lenovo Go Desk Station with Webcam
The unique hybrid working solution combines a certified 4K camera, an adjustable desk light, rotatable arm, expansion hub and Qi wireless charger into a single innovative device designed to address those user needs.
The camera, also available as a standalone Lenovo Go 4K Pro Webcam, is built for video conferencing and high-resolution streaming. It includes auto focus and auto framing with a selectable field of view, auto ambient light adjustment and a maximum resolution of up to 4K at 30fps.
For added security, the camera features a physical privacy shutter.
The Lenovo Go Desk Station, in addition to the above camera, has a versatile height adjustable arm and a rotating arm with integrated light that can be changed depending on the ambient lighting needs. This versatile arm with the light and camera can be adjusted in almost any direction.
App
Lenovo’s announcement of its upcoming laptops today also highlighted its preloading of the Lenovo Commercial Vantage app, claiming it could help users conserve energy. The app includes features like Human Presence Detection, which uses the laptop’s camera to detect if you’re nearby and will lock the system if you’re not.
