Here are some points to keep in mind:
- Instagram may track your activity on the platform. This is done with, among other things, artificial intelligence.
- The platform may share your content with third parties.
- Instagram is part of the Facebook group of companies. They may share whatever you post with Facebook’s other companies – there are 76 in total.
- Instagram does not take responsibility for users’ actions. If you have a dispute with another user, you will have to resolve it between the two of you.
- That said, Instagram may remove user footage complained of.
- When you delete your profile, note that the content you posted may still be around for a while (or, possibly, forever) after deletion.
