Smartphone brand Honor has added two new devices to its X Series lineup in South Africa – the X6a and X5 Plus.
At a time when South Africans are grappling with a difficult economic climate, the entry level smartphones from Honor are affordable retailing at R3,299 for the X6a and R2,699 for the X5 Plus.
The devices are also not short on features for entry level smartphones.
Honor has made extensive inroads into the mobile phone market after its split from Huawei, with Google services notably absent from the latter’s smartphones.
X6a
The X6a has an embedded layer of nanocrystals, finished with a brightening coating. It features a 6.56-inch display, a 50MP triple camera system, 5200mAh battery and up to 128GB storage. The smartphone is just 8.35mm and weighs 188g, which makes it comfortable in the user’s hand.
Battery life is particularly important for smartphones especially with busy lifestyles. The 5200mAh battery of the X6a can support up to 17.8 hours of video playing, 13.5 hours of TikTok browsing or 15.5 hours of music streaming on a single charge.
The 22.5W SuperCharge enables the smartphone to be quickly charged to 31% in just 20 minutes.
If you have a colour preference, the Honor X6a is available in two colours: Sky Silver and Cyan Lake.
