Not only do the Springboks take on Wales in a Saturday afternoon Rugby World Cup quarterfinal, but the EcoMobility World Festival 2015 is bringing its own sporting taste to Sandton.
Local sporting codes will demonstrate their skills and encourage participation among spectators in sports such as netball, basketball, street soccer, cycle polo, volleyball and gymnastics. The well-known Gwen Lane in Sandton will be turned into a sporting arena for the weekend.
Skateboarding, table-tennis and jousting will be available free of charge; while locals are encouraged to assemble and participate with their own five-a-side volleyball, soccer, netball and basketball teams to do battle and find out who the rulers of the EcoMobility Sports Weekend will be.
Sporting councils from across the City will be sending teams to participate in an informal sport competition, while getting assembled spectators involved in the action all the while.
It promises to be a magical weekend that all are encouraged to attend.
