It must be nice being Pearl Thusi, working in Atlanta and being able to quickly jet off to Jozi to see family and jet back to make some good money.
Miss Thusi recently made a short visit home to spend time with her loved ones, and she shared her experience with her fans on social media. “Came home for a short visit because I missed the kid, my partner and all my other loved ones immensely. I didn’t get to see a lot of people, but I did manage to get a lot done,” she wrote on Instagram.
“One of the things I needed to do was get in touch with my humble beginnings. Show them love and gratitude to how they have contributed to where I am today,” she added, explaining she went to Mariannhill Primary school and was embraced with so much love by her former teachers and the learners there. “It was incredible to know how much they still love and support me. It’s really rejuvenated and encouraged me to work harder and be stronger,” she jotted down.
The television presenter and actress then went on to share an adorable picture of herself and her daughter Thandolwethu, where she is watching her sleep, and captioned it: “BEST. FEELING. EVER !!! No matter what it takes- I will wage war for you. There’s no price to my love for you.”
Mamma Pantha, as she is usually referred to, stars as a series regular in the hit American drama, Quantico, alongside Priyanka Chopra. She has now jetted off and is back to her acting job. And although life on set can be fairly stressful, Thusi makes it seem like a breeze.
Mzansi is proud of you, Thusi!
